The Information Security and Privacy: Interdisciplinary Research and Education (INSPIRE) research group, led by Prof. Takabi, in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of North Texas (UNT) conducts research on multiple topics related to the security and privacy of emerging paradigms.
The goal of the INSPIRE group is to make significant impact through innovative research projects and hands-on training programs in security and privacy. With this goal in mind, the group is currently running several projects centered around various topics that include access control, privacy enhancing technologies, insider threat, cyber deception, and usable security and privacy among others.
The INSPIRE group is affiliated with UNT’s Center for Information and Cyber Security (CICS), and works closely with other research groups across different colleges and departments at UNT and at other universities worldwide. The INSPIRE lab’s activities are supported by multiple grants from NSF, NSA, ARO, Microsoft Research, and NVIDIA.
